Unda de Influence
After reading the essay called "Under the Influence" I have truly understood the effect of alcohol on a family setting when only one person is the one "under the influence". The essay really makes me sad since my father was an alcoholic when i was younger and im very thankful that he never let his addicition get that bad to the point that this man's father did. Hiding bottles everywhere in the house, coming home drunk, feeding the dog booze and then letting it throw up in the baby's shoes. It is very sad what i read but it was a good experience.

i think its good that your dads problem didnt rise up to the extreme extent that the authors fathers did. i agree that reading this essay was really sad but it made me think about how hard something like this is to go through
